We offer a stretching service of the customers own canvas, whether it is an oil painting or a photo printed image. Size is no problem as standard to custom sizes are all available. You can choose from 3 depths of stretcher bar depending on the type of look you wish to achieve. If you would like your artwork to be framed after the stretching then the traditional stretchers are the best choice as the depth is only 20mm which means a minimal amount will be seen from the side when the frame is hung. We offer a wide range of frame mouldings on display to complement your artwork and are constructed to the highest standard. A range of deep rebate frames are also available and will hide the stretchers totally when viewed from any angle on the wall. |

These stretcher bars are manufactured from a quality pine timber unlike some other products on the market which tend to bow or twist when under strain or temperature change and are also fitted with corner tensioning wedges. The outside edge has a small raised lip which minimises the canvas to stretcher contact on the facing side to stop any impression lines from the stretchers behind. For the larger size canvas, centre and cross struts are used for maximum support and are also available in any size. |

Alternatively the box canvas with no outer frame has been very popular in recent years especially for the photos printed on canvas and they make a great present.

Due to the need for fixing, this type of stretcher bar is not as suitable for DIY use, however if you do require them we can cut the lengths to the required sizes and send them unassembled. |
